Privacy policy

Effective date: 28 October 2026

This website is run by me, Dr. Lyda Kermani, DACM, LAc. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit lydakermani.com, email me or book a free 15-minute consultation, and what I do with it.

If you become a client, your session notes and client records are covered by our client agreement, not by this policy.

What I collect

When you visit the site. The site’s host, Netlify, keeps technical logs, which can include your IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site doesn’t use cookies to follow you, and it doesn’t identify you.
When you email me. Your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write.
When you book a free consultation. Booking happens through Acuity Scheduling. Acuity collects the details you enter on the booking form, such as your name, email address and the time you pick, and uses them to confirm your booking.
During the consultation. The free call happens on Zoom. Zoom handles the call under its own privacy policy.

I don’t collect payment details on this site, and the free consultation costs nothing.

Cookies

This site doesn’t set cookies of its own. The Acuity booking calendar on the Book page comes from Acuity, and it may set cookies so the scheduler works: Acuity’s own session cookie, and cookies from Stripe (the payment service Acuity uses, even though the consultation is free) and the other services Acuity loads, listed below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the scheduler may not work without them.

How I use your information

To reply to your messages.
To hold, confirm and run your free consultation.
To keep the site working and secure.

I don’t sell your personal information, I don’t share it for advertising, and I don’t use it to show you ads.

Who else handles it

Only the services that make the site and the booking work:

Netlify, which hosts the website.
Acuity Scheduling, which runs the booking calendar. The calendar also loads services Acuity uses: Stripe for payments and fraud prevention, Datadog and Sentry to monitor errors and performance, and Google for fonts and security checks.
Zoom, which runs the consultation call.
My email provider, which delivers and stores email.

Each of these handles your information under its own privacy policy. I may also share information if the law requires it.

Links to other sites

The site links to my Substack, Instagram and YouTube. When you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. This site doesn’t track you across other websites, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off, and the site doesn’t change how it works when it receives one.

How long I keep it

I keep emails and booking details only as long as I need them to talk with you and run my practice, or as long as the law requires.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask me to show you the personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@lydakermani.com and I’ll reply.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If the change is significant, I’ll say so clearly at the top of the page.
